Heavy Rain Adds a Potential For Weekend Flooding in Twin Tiers

The National Weather Service in Binghamton is advising residents of the potential for some flooding over the weekend with rain in the forecast for several days.

NOAA says rain is expected to develop overnight April 15 and Monday, April 16 ahead of a slow moving cold front. Some of this rain could be heavy, with the potential for 1 to 3 inches of rainfall.

If rainfall of this magnitude materializes, flooding will be possible.
