Who doesn't want a great night's sleep? And, if you are like me then you have tried all sorts of things to make your shut-eye perfect.

Well, there is now a formula to make sure that you maximize your sleep and are completely vitalized in the morning.

According to Craig Ballantyne, editor of website Early to Rise, his 10-3-2-1-0 technique is the key to helping you "get to bed on time, sleep better, and wake up the next morning well rested and ready for battle." So what are the rules?

  • 10 hours before bed -- No more caffeine.
  • 3 hours before bed -- No more food or alcohol.
  • 2 hours before bed -- No more work.
  • 1 hour before bed -- No more screen time (turn off all phones, TVs and computers).
  • Zero is the number of times you will hit the snooze button in the morning. (Earlytorise.com)
