Sometimes I go to the gym and I find myself scratching my head to try and figure out a way on how to step up my workouts. Or, I want a little extra push for the weekend binging I will probably do.

I found an easy way to burn more calories when I hit the gym. According to a new study, working out with someone else will help to burn more calories. But, there is a catch. But it can't be just anyone. It has to be someone whom you perceive to be physically better than you.

Translation: The key to motivation in physical activity may be feeling inadequate. Researchers from Kansas State University found when women exercised with a teammate they thought was better, they increased their workout time and intensity by as much as 200 percent.

I'll try anything to burn a couple more calories.
