Now that the holidays are officially upon us, it's easy to slip into some bad eating habits. We are surrounded by a variety of different foods and desserts that are hard to resist. The countless errands and running around that a lot of us do during this time of year makes it easy to grab something quick eat while we are out, which often leads to unhealthy choices. I’ve come up with a few different snack options that will satisfy your cravings and keep hunger away while you are out doing your holiday shopping.

Hummus & Veggies

I never thought I’d be a hummus girl but I am now! With just 60 calories per serving, I get the savory taste that I’m craving and I love me some veggies so it’s a win-win! Just throw some cut up some veggies and throw them in a plastic baggy, along with a small container (which can be found at any dollar store) with a bit of hummus.

Fruit & Nuts

Break out those plastic baggies again and fill them with a cup of your favorite fruit and a handful of nuts. Almonds or walnuts are my go-to and they help me curb hunger until my next meal.

Green Juice or Smoothie

Combine almond milk with your favorite fruit and a handful of spinach or use your favorite juicer to create a delicious, healthy juice! Be sure to check out some of my favorite juice recipes! I like using frozen fruits for my smoothies and it's easy to pre-package your fruit for each smoothie so you can just empty your baggie of fruit into the blender and add some almond milk and you're good to go!
