Halloween is creeping up on us and if you have to park on the street, realistically there’s a chance your car will get hit with eggs or other gooey, mystery substances that can do serious damage to the paint.

So, if you can’t park anywhere but on the street, what should you do? The geniuses at Consumer Reports say your best bet is to slather on a nice coat of wax just about one week from Halloween.

By the time Halloween rolls around, the wax will have settled, but it will still be fresh enough to make egg yolks, silly string and other stuff wash right off and as an added bonus, I’ll help protect your car from salt, sand and other winter driving stuff.
