Hundreds Show Up To Run And Walk For The Make-A-Wish Foundation!

It was a beautiful Saturday morning in Binghamton for the Run/Walk for Wishes, all to help out the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York!

Hundreds showed up to show support and to help out the Make-A-Wish Foundation by bringing a team to run or walk the 5K Lee Barta Course here in Binghamton.

The Make-A-Wish is one of my favorite organizations to help kids.  Before the race, one of the wish kids, Jeremiah, spoke about getting his wish granted to go to Disney!  Will it cure his sickness?  Probably not, but what it does do is give the kids a chance to be kids and not have to worry about taking medications, having surgery, needles or spending countless hours in in hospitals.

Jeremiah even stood at the finish line to 'high five' the runners as they finished the race.

Today, April 29th, is World Wish Day with the Make-A-Wish Foundation!  Today, if you stop by Dunkin' Donuts and make a $1 donation to the Make-A-Wish, you will receive a Make-A-Wish Star donut!  All proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish of Central New York!
