First dates are great, but getting a second date with someone is even better. Bustle, and Susan Trombetti who is the CEO of Exclusive Matchmaking, explains just what you can do to increase your chances of a second date with someone.

  • Keep the date short and sweet as you want to know if you two mesh well with one another and see if there is any chemistry between you two. If there is something there for both of you, leave them wanting more so that a second date is inevitable.
  • Make them laugh because first dates can be stressful, so if you can break the ice and get your date feeling more comfortable by laughing, that gives you good odds that they will want to see you again.
  • Walk your date to their car or front door as that will make you seem like you care about their safety and well-being. Thank them for a nice night, and if the moment feels right, maybe even end the date with a kiss!

The very best thing that you can do though is be yourself because you want your date to get to know you as much as you want to get to know them, and there's no sense in having a second date if they are expecting that second date to be with anyone but your genuine self.
