The short answer is hell no! However, The Washington Post did a story on whether or not warming your car before you drive actually does any good. You may find their reasoning interesting.

I remember while I was growing up, my parents always warmed up the car and it was in order to warm up the engine. But since the 1990's cars are now built with electronic fuel injectors, which automatically compensate for the temperature.

The article also mentions that idling your car for 5 minutes uses more fuel. Well, when it's zero degrees outside I don't care about fuel use!

So, unless your car is 30 years old, the only reason to start your car and let it run before you drive it is to warm the inside. And that is the exact reason why I warm up my car.
