UPDATE: Just 24 hours after a source confirmed that Janet Jackson is pregnant and expecting her first child, the superstar has released the official music video for her increasingly relevantly-titled new single, "Dammn Baby." (Because, you know, she's having a baby!)

Previously teased via GIFs on her Instagram, the sleek black-and-white video features Jackson and her troupe of backup dancers shaking off the haters with some slick choreography. And while there's not much narrative to the clip, the stylish visuals — including a hazy scene in which the icon literally breaks it down in a room that seems filled with stars — are perfectly suited to the funky dance jam.

And for those naysayers bemoaning the fact that Jackson is — clutch your pearls! — expecting nearly at age 50? We'll leave you with this lyric from the diva herself: "And can't nobody tell you what you can't do / Shut that down automatic." Jam on, mama.

ORIGINAL POST (MAY 1): Just weeks after making the announcement (April 6) that she would be postponing her Unbreakable World Tour in order to focus on starting a family with her billionaire beau, Wissam Al Mana, Janet Jackson has dropped the black and white lyric video for her reported new single, "Dammn Baby."

Having released it on International Dance Day, Friday April 29, the graphical lyric video features digitized clips of fierce choreography lifted straight from Jackson's 1998 The Velvet Rope Tour, set during the breakdown of the upbeat track. In addition, the legendary pop icon seemed to indicate that the funky-fresh Unbreakable album cut may even be her next single, teasing fans with a series of dance GIFs (one featuring two adorable, pint sized dancers sassing it up) on Instagram, clips which many now believe to be from the song's upcoming official music video.

The biggest indicator here, of course, is the promise of "Coming soon..." And what better way to "keep the conversation going" about Jackson than with a hot new single and video to satiate fans while they wait for further tour/music news from the superstar?

Her first name may not be baby (it's Janet — Miss Jackson if you're nasty), but dammmmmn if this track isn't pure dancefloor fire. Watch below and sing along:
