Jay-Z and Beyonce’s Financial Information Leaked by Hackers

The criminal side of the Internet reared its ugly head this week as detailed personal and financial information from Jay-Z, Beyonce and other celebrities were leaked online by mysterious hackers.

On Monday (March 11), the information was posted on the website exposed.su -- the site is now listed as "currently offline." Private documents of the aforementioned personalities, including Social Security numbers, bank accounts, home addresses, credit card numbers and mortgage accounts were included on the online destination.

According to the New York Daily News, the website's front page, titled "The Secret Files," featured a scary-looking young girl wearing ghoulish makeup with a hand to her lips as if to warn the visitor to be quiet. Visitors were encouraged to clink on the links to review the sensitive documents from various celebrities.

“If you believe that God makes miracles, you have to wonder if Satan has a few up his sleeve,” states the website, which originates from Russia.

Not only were Jayonce and Kim Kardashian attacked but top government officials had their information published as well. Vice President Joe Biden, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, FBI director Robert Mueller, Attorney General Eric Holder, and LAPD chief Charlie Beck were all victims.

Los Angeles police Cmdr. Andrew Smith told the Daily News that the LAPD are investigating the hack of personal info as it relates to LAPD Chief Beck and celebrities living in Los Angeles. Smith adds that this type of deviant hacking is called "doxxing."

"The best word I can use to describe it is creepy," he says. "It's a creepy thing to do."

We couldn't agree more.

Hopefully, Jay, Beyonce, Kim and the other celebrities can recover from this cyber crime. It's unfortunate that people are using the Internet to ruin unsuspecting people's daily lives.
