Jay Z, Kanye West and Frank Ocean have won a lawsuit which accuses them of copyright infringement.

On Friday (Oct. 7), a federal court upheld a ruling appeals court upheld a lower court's ruling from last year, dismissing a lawsuit by Joel McDonald that alleged "Made in America" from the album Watch the Throne had stolen one of his songs.

McDonald, who also goes by the name Joel Mac, filed the lawsuit back in 2014, and argued that the song stole the its concept from his song of the same name.

"We have considered all of McDonald's arguments and find them to be without merit," the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals ruled, Pitchfork reports. The lawsuit also included producers Mike Dean and Shama Joseph, as well as Universal Music Group, Roc-A-Fella Records, Def Jam Music and Roc Nation.
