Ultimate Fight champion, Jon Bones Jones of Endicott is in a drug rehabilitation program.

The 27 year old Light Heavyweight Champion, who successfully defended his title January 3 in Las Vegas, tested positive for the main component of cocaine.

Benzoyleconine itself is not banned by the UFC and Jones is not to be penalized or suspended.

The random drug test was done before Christmas and came back last month as positive for the main metabolite of cocaine.

The UFC released a statement commending Jones for his decision to enter a drug treatment facility.

The Union Endicott graduate’s victory on January 3 over Daniel Cormier in a unanimous decision was Jones’ eighth consecutive successful defense of his title.
