Kanye West, self-proclaimed Donald Trump fan, tried showing his gratitude for activist Emma González and, well, the exchange panned out exactly as you might've imagined.

Last night (April 28), the 40-year-old performer — who set Twitter aflame this week after tweeting exceptional admissions defending outspoken Republican Candace Owens and President Trump — shared an image of his brand-new buzz cut inspired by the Parkland shooting survivor.

"Inspired by Emma," the "Heartless" musician captioned the photo of his new haircut, intended to echo González's own hairstyle. Whether this was a harmless effort at winning an acknowledgment from the young figure, who West previously dubbed "my hero" on the platform minutes prior, is still up for debate.

What isn't, however, is González's blatant lack of interest in entertaining West's social media shenanigans.

Such antics, as aforementioned, like the emcee's incendiary stance on politics and our current head of state, whom the “Ye vs. the People” star referred to as "my brother" and officialized his Trump support by sporting a "Make America Great Again" cap earlier this week.

"You don't have to agree with trump but the mob can't make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother," West tweeted of his love for Trump.

You know who doesn't fancy Trump? González.

An easy Google search would have made this point clear, and perhaps, might've inspired West to reconsider his method of approaching the 19-year-old, who has been consistently vocal about her disapproval of Trump after charging congressmen to create tougher gun laws in the United States after 17 people were killed during the shooting that took place at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School February 14.

So how did González run her response to West without playing into his antics? She one-upped his publicity stunt by acknowledging a saint of her own — one she believed deserved more attention than herself… and West for that matter.

"My hero James Shaw Jr." González tweeted with an image of Shaw Jr., whose heroism made headlines this week after he disarmed a gunman who fatally opened fire at a Waffle House restaurant in Tennessee last Sunday (April 22).

Furthering her support of the Shaw Jr.'s act of bravery, González retweeted the following tweet: "James Shaw Jr. is paying for the funeral of each of the four Waffle House shooting victims out of the gofundme monies raised for him. Retweet if you agree that this man is a TRUE American hero!!!"

Ah, it's occasions like these when we could really use that Easy A "Burn" emoji…
