Kanye West has been approached by fans who idolize him more than once. Recently, one even chose to rap for him, which was caught on tape. Today, the tables were turned and the rapper met his idol instead.

At New York Fashion Week, the "Only One" creator met Ralph Lauren and the moment was memorialized in a photo. West looks like he just sauntered straight off Cloud 9 when he comes face-to-face with Ralph Lauren. The legendary designer's son, David Lauren, captured their special run-in. "An endearing backstage moment with #kanyewest and #ralphlauren #nyfw #nyc," he tweeted.

In the photo, you can see Ralph gently touching Kanye's face with one hand, as the G.O.O.D. Music leader stares him right in the eyes and smiles widely.

An editor at Style asked the Chicago native to explain why he holds Ralph Lauren in such high regard during a recent interview. Very succinctly, Ye states that there's no one higher in the fashion world. "Ralph is the god," he said. "And that's all I want to say about Ralph."

In another Style article, the 75-year-old fashion icon learned about Kanye's famous comment ,"It ain't Ralph, though," which the rhymer shouted out during a chat on Sway in the Morning last year.

"That's very cool," he said. "Well, that's great. If I were to cater to Kanye, he would know that I'm catering to him. The fact that I make what I make, he gets it. He gets the quality and he respects it. And I think that's the key, why I work all the time to do that. That's the fun."

This time, it really is Ralph.
