Kanye West is pushing through with a career in fashion after more than successful runs in rapping and producing. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the Yeezus creator talks about how the apparel industry is his next monster to conquer and gives some insight to when fans can expect his next studio album, Swish. And lest we forget, his presidential bid for 2020.

Vanity Fair's Dirk Standen spoke with The College Dropout creator shortly after he unveiled his Yeezy Season 2 collection during the New York Fashion Week this month. Ye confirmed that music has not taken a back seat in his life to fashion, but hip-hop fans may not hear his album for a while since he's not rushing the process.

"I’m not worried about the years. I’m worried about the life and the body of work that I can put out while I’m breathing," said Kanye.

The Chi-town native did give a sneak peek of what's to come at his fashion show though. The song "Fade" featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Post Malone was used as the music while the models walked the runway. "That song I played has been a year and a half in the making and it may be still a year from being complete," he said.

As for the collection, Yeezy keeps it simple. "I think people just wear yoga pants and sweatshirts, and I wanted to make the most beautiful version of that possible." He later added that he thinks "sweatshirts are f---ing important."

He does admit that may be the "funniest quote ever" from someone who's planning to hold the seat as leader of the free world. But, he stands by his statement. Being a creative will only help him to execute forward thinking. "I hate politics. I’m not a politician at all. I care about the truth and I just care about human beings. I just want everyone to win, that’s all I can say, and I think we can."

North West's dad also speaks on wanting to own his own chain of clothing stores, how he hopes to invent the "classic shoe" of 2016 (like Air Force Ones in the early 2000s) and why he feels like Will Ferrell's character Buddy in Elf.
