Lady Gaga, Troye Sivan and some of music's biggest stars have praised Kesha for her strength amid a contentious court case with her record label, but now that the singer's motion to exit her contract early has been struck down she's taking some time to heal.

The "Timber" singer, who was scheduled to perform tomorrow (February 26) at Loyola University Chicago, has pulled out for "personal reasons," the school's Department of Programming announced on Facebook last night (February 24).

"Kesha has expressed her disappointment in having to cancel, but she feels that this is the best decision for her at this time. We respect her decision and wish her well," the post read, and added that full refunds will soon be issued.

Kesha first filed a lawsuit against producer Dr. Luke in 2014, alleging that he verbally and sexually abused her during their decade-long working relationship. Dr. Luke counter-sued Kesha, claiming that she had lied as a means to escape a legally binding contract with Sony, and on February 19, the New York State Supreme Court denied Kesha an injunction against Dr. Luke.

The decision sparked a #FreeKesha movement across social media channels, and yesterday (February 24), Kesha thanked fans for their support in a hopeful Facebook post.

"I think about young girls today: I don’t want my future daughter, or your daughter, or any person to be afraid that they will be punished if they speak out about being abused, especially if their abuser is in a position of power," she wrote. "We’re all in this together. You are not alone."
