Lana Del Rey's cover of 'Once Upon a Dream,' which is Sleeping Beauty's theme, for Disney's 'Maleficent' is vintage LDR.

It's moody, melancholic, gloomy and will make the hair on your arms stand on end with its elegiac nature.

This version of the song is dramatic and mournful, much like LDR's 'Young & Beautiful,' her track from 'The Great Gatsby' soundtrack.

The almost nursery rhyme-like quality to the song asserts itself around the 1:40 mark, when LDR hums. That part totally gave us goosies; yes, we borrowed that phrase from J. Lo, who once said it on 'American Idol.' But it's true. Del Rey's pulsating hum and the general sonics of the song made our arm hair stand on end.

Del Rey's version of the song certainly fits the darkly fantastical and gothic aesthetic of the film, starring Angelia Jolie as the delightfully wicked titular character aka the Mistress of All Evil.

Dare we say that this is one of LDR's best tracks even though it's a cover of a beloved classic? The singer's original music often floods the web in demo form, yet this one leaves an equally indelible mark.
