Cameras caught up with Lindsay Lohan's former attorney -- the competent one -- Shawn Holley, and she was pretty amused by the hot mess that was Lohan's trial with Mark Heller.

When TMZ pried Holley for information, she admitted that she did watch some of the coverage, and that her favorite part was Heller's impromptu press conference.

She also noted that she has nothing but fondness for Lohan, who likely did her a big favor by letting her go -- even though she still owes Holley a ton of cash.

"Lindsay knows that I wish her well," Holley said sweetly and diplomatically. "I want nothing but the best for her."

As for whether Holley was shocked by the outcome? Not really.

With a smile, Holley added, "Nothing about this case surprises me."

Lohan's pops wasn't as eloquent in his speech about his daughter's troubles.

When he caught wind that Lilo was out attempting to party pre-rehab last night, Michael Lohan flipped out -- to the press, of course.

“Just when you think things are getting better, the same people who were in court with Lindsay, and heard the judge instruct her not to be around people or places that drugs might be present, are the same ones out with her attempting to go into a club last night!” he fumed to Radar Online.

Michael even offered to put up cash to send Lindsay to rehab sooner than the 45 days given by the judge to get her freckled behind in gear.

“Maybe waiting 45 days is too long," he mused. "I wish she’d let me pick out the rehab now (and even pay for it), but then again, Heller and Dina wouldn't approve even if it was the best. Or will they pay?”

Considering Lindsay herself never pays for anything, good luck getting her team to fork over any cash to solve a problem she doesn't think she has.

If only Michael would speak to Lindsay directly instead of through tabloids, we might have been able to say father knows best.

Still, Lohan insists she's fine, issuing a poorly punctuated statement via Facebook:

Guys relax, that was NOT me at A/V or in the @mrpink SUV. I'm taking this seriously and focused on the road ahead. I stayed in last night, after a pretty long day...and ordered sushi to my hotel. Don't believe EVERY little thing you hear, unless you hear it from me. The support I have gotten, has been great and means alot. ♥ L
