I met this spunky passionate fireball of a lady while eating dinner. Her name is Victoria Doll, and she was waiting our table and had not one single issue keeping up with me and my sarcasm all while messing with the rest of her fellow staff members. (I can be a handful in public and I'm sure the bane of many waitresses existence.) She jumped in and added to the crazy fun!

She recently lost her beloved Grandfather to a heartbreaking degenerative brain disease, Alzheimer's.

"November 12, 2015 at the Willow Point Nursing Home following an heroic struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. Before the disease took its toll, Chick enjoyed life to the fullest with his family and friends and always with the support of his loving wife Judy."

What is Alzheimer's Disease?
"Alzheimer's is a progressive disease, where dementia symptoms gradually worsen over a number of years. In its early stages, memory loss is mild, but with late-stage Alzheimer's, individuals lose the ability to carry on a conversation and respond to their environment. Alzheimer's is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States."

She wants to join in the fight for funding in research. The goal is to have no other family members watch the heart break of this disease.  The Alzheimer's association has a fundraising walk scheduled April 23rd at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton! Victoria's team will be walking for her grandfather Charles Doll, who passed away just before Christmas.  Many of Victoria's friends and mine have signed up to be on her team to walk for such a great cause! Victoria would love it if you would too!
