If you want to be taken seriously as a criminal you can't make dumb mistakes like this guy did. Rule number one...be aware of your surroundings.

18-year-old Victor Martinez-Herrer of Reading, Pennsylvania was in a cab on Monday afternoon.  And when the driver stopped at a red light, Victor pulled a gun and demanded his money.

So the driver started taking the cash out of his pockets.  Meanwhile the light turned green.  But the driver was too distracted getting his money out to drive.  And it took him so long to pull $11 out of his pocket that the light turned red AGAIN.

Meanwhile . . . a COP was right behind them.  And after the cab just sat there through the entire green light, he got out to see if something was wrong.

When he walked up to the cab, he heard the driver say, quote, "Just please don't shoot me."  So the cop pulled his gun, ordered Victor to get out of the car, and arrested him.

He was charged with robbery, terroristic threats, and simple assault. (69 News - Allentown)
