The election has come and gone, and even with social media not too much has changed since I was a kid and my dad was in office.

Don't expect anything to deep or profound. And, not surprisingly, my thoughts about the election and politicians in general is very similar to a restaurant.

If there is one thing I hate, it's when a restaurant or business in general has to knock another business to make theirs seem better. If your restaurant or business is so good then people will see that. And, it won't matter what the other business does.

It's the same with politicians. I hate when politicians need to knock or "mud sling" about their opponent in order to make themselves seem more appealing.

I have so much more respect with a candidate, republican or democrat, if they can stick to issues that they wish to address when they get hired than trying to make the other candidate look bad.

There are a lot of good people out there who ran for office on both sides of the isle. For the next election take a minute to get to know the candidates and what they stand for.

If you are a candidate and feel that you need to attack your opponent, there is probably a good reason why you want the attention off of you.
