Rappers Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Lil Wayne and Ludacris were honored at the 2014 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards on Friday (Aug. 23).

The Seattle rap duo received the Song of the Year trophy for 'Can't Hold Us' while Lil Wayne was crowned Songwriter of the Year. In addition, Luda was presented with the BMI President's Award for his outstanding achievement in songwriting and work in the music industry.

According to Revolt TV, Ludacris, dressed in a navy tuxedo, was humbled by the honor and thanked everyone who was involved in his success including his mother.

“It’s really the people behind you and a the strong foundation you have that’s most important,” he said. “I’m about to get right back to the music, cause that’s what got me here in the first place.”

Afterward, the Atlanta rapper performed a medley of hits for the crowd including 'Southern Hospitality,' 'Move' and 'What's Your Fantasy.'

Ludacris joins the list of previous honorees including Pitbull, Adam Levine, will.i.am, Carlos Vives and Taylor Swift.

Elsewhere, DJ Mustard won the coveted Producer of the Year award and R&B teen sensation Zendaya won the BMI Social Star award.
