This weird news story is about the love a man has for man's best friend, his dog.

Wayne Best is a man who lives in Australia. He spends most of his time living off the land with his 3 1/2 year old dog, Choco. A few weeks ago Wayne and Choco were out hunting wild pigs next to a river, when a 20-foot crocodile came up out of the water, and pulled Choco under. But somehow a few minutes later Choco resurfaced, and swam to shore.

He had really bad bites on his leg and his stomach, and Wayne knew he needed to get him to a vet as soon as possible. But they were in the middle of nowhere, of course they didn't have a car, and Choco could barely walk. So Wayne spent the next TWO days carrying Choco more than 50 miles. That couldn't have been easy because Choco is not a little dog, he's huge!

He's a Bull Arab-Greyhound mix, and that's almost as big as a Great Dane. But he made it to a vet! The dog needed surgery to save his life, however Wayne couldn't afford it but the vet did the surgery anyway. Several people read about what happened and what Wayne and Choco went through and sent in donations to help cover the cost of the surgery.

I can't imagine walking 50 miles carrying a big dog. But I can tell you I would do anything for my little Bentley!
