Many Stores Will Open Their Doors For Black Friday Sales on Thanksgiving Day

It seems that every year stores are opening earlier and earlier for Black Friday. When I worked in retail, I think the earliest time I had to report to work was Friday sometime between 3-4am! But now, stores aren't even waiting until Friday to start their sales. Many of these stores are opening as early as 8pm on Thanksgiving night!

My opinion on all of this? I think that they are basically defeating the whole purpose of Black FRIDAY! Not to mention that it takes employees away from their families on Thanksgiving Day. I was looking forward to shopping on Black Friday but now it's like, well when do I go for the best sales?! Thursday or Friday?! It's all just kind of crazy if you ask me!

What are your thoughts? Is the retail industry just out of control or do you see their point?
