The Fifth Annual Mase Madness Basketball Tournament is scheduled for this weekend at the Johnson City Middle School Dual Gyms Complex.  Play got underway today (Friday) at 4:00 PM and will start Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 AM.  Teams from all over the Northeast are competing..

Brackets of competition include: Youth, High School Girls and Boys, Women's Competitive, Men's Recreation and Men's Competitive.

Along with plenty of basketball attendees have the chance to purchase souvenir, autographed memorabilia, enter over 100 raffle basket giveaways and can enjoy refreshments as well.

Any proceeds raised from the event will go to the Mason P. McKan Benevolence Fund, Inc.  The fund provides scholarships for youth to train at the BX Strength and Training Center.

Mase Madness was created in honor and memory of Mason P. McKan, son of Kate and Ron McKan.  Mason lived six months and 13 days before passing away from SIDS.

Admission fee is ten dollars for all three days, seven dollars for two days or five dollars per individual day.  Tickets are available at the door.  Further information is available online at: www.masemadness.com.
