The performance lineup for the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards can't stop getting better and better!

Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke are the latest artists added to the Aug. 25 event, which already boasts Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kanye West and more.

Both Cyrus and Thicke are nominated for four Moonman trophies. It will be the first time either has performed at the VMAs, being held at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. They are scheduled to deliver their monster summer jams 'We Can't Stop' and 'Blurred Lines,' respectively.

Both tunes are up for the just-announced Best Song of the Summer Award, which will be voted on by fans on Twitter, Instagram and Vine. Miley's crazy clip for 'We Can't Stop' is also nominated for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Best Editing. Robin's sexy 'Blurred Lines' is vying for Video of the Year, Best Male Video and Best Collaboration.

Thicke says he has "some big surprises planned" for his VMAs appearance -- anyone else smell another Miley guest spot?

In related news, One Direction have just been added to show, and are set to make a "special appearance." No details have been released, but 1D joining Robin and Miley onstage would make that version of 'Blurred Lines' the best song ever!
