Moms Being Charged For Every Time They Scream During Child Birth?!

This might be one of the craziest stories I have ever heard!  Even though I don't have kids nor can I give birth, I have accidentally turned the channel on TV to a live child birth.  I think showing a live child birth on TV should be banned!  Especially for those of us who like to eat in front of the television.

Sadly, Zimbabwe has the reputation of being one of the world's most corrupt countries. Bribery is so common place it rarely even makes the news except in cases where innovators go above and beyond the call of duty. Thus was the case with a hospital in Harare that reportedly had been imposing a $5 charge on mothers each time they screamed during childbirth-- in addition to the $50 delivery fee.

Furthermore, it has long been rumored that hospitals in Zimbabwe (and other countries) may detain mothers and their children at the hospital if they cannot pay the fees. (Washington Post)
