Candy corn is definitely one of those things that people either love with a passion or hate with a vengeance. There's really no in-between, no indifference when it comes to the super sugary candy.

I can't help but wonder if the makers of candy corn are trying to get the haters to give their candy a try because they've put a grown-up spin on this year's batch with brunch-ready flavors.

Brach's has put out a bunch of new flavors of candy corn meant to taste like maple-drenched French toast, waffles topped with strawberry and sour cream and pancakes studded with chocolate chips, which sounds absolutely disgusting to me.

All of these special flavors of candy corn are sold only at Target.

While the maple-drenched French toast flavor sounds tempting, I just don't think I can bring myself to try it- candy corn is too sugary and sweet for my taste, but I do like to decorate with it!

Last year, I picked up a really cool jug at the Corning Museum of Glass and was trying to think of a way to use it as a decoration, and then a lightbulb went off. I filled it with candy corn and put it out when I decorated for fall. Because I stored it in a cool dry place when I packed up my fall decorations last year, I was able to put it out again this year.

Keep in mind if you plan to decorate with candy corn and want to reuse it the following year that you'll need to store it in an airtight container and in a cool, dark place or else it'll melt all over itself, making a huge mess.
