While we can all agree on what Thanksgiving food is the best, there are also some foods being served on Thursday that we can all agree on that are just not good. Here are a few that you should consider skipping this year.

  • Soup, soup? Who makes soup on Thanksgiving? That's just a distraction from the main event.
  • Cranberry sauce, while I love, love, love cranberry sauce, some people are turned off by it, so maybe this is one food worth skipping in favor of more mashed potatoes.
  • Dinner rolls honestly just take up room on your plate. With little to no flavor, why bother with this starchy food when you probably have six other starchy foods on your plate already?
  • Green bean casserole is what I'm always put in charge of every Thanksgiving, so I'm a little bias about this particular side dish. Also, I don't know of any other "vegetable" (a word used lightly considering the creamy ingredients) that is served on Thanksgiving. However, I guess people hate this one, which is really too bad.
  • Creamed onions is a side dish that your grandmother makes every year, but does anyone ever touch them?
  • Jell-o molds which I don't think that I need to elaborate upon as to why people don't like.

Regardless of the food though, aren't we all just supposed to be thankful for the people we are sharing the day with? Dig in and enjoy, everyone!
