I know what you're thinking, "It's not even Halloween yet, why would I start shopping for Christmas?"  If you haven't started Christmas shopping yet, I hope you at least took my advice and put up your Christmas lights before it gets brutally cold!  And, I am admitting that I have already started shopping for Christmas.

A new survey from FemaleFirst found one out of three people have already started doing their Christmas shopping.  And they haven't just been shopping for presents either . . . they've bought decorations and food too.

The survey also asked people what strategy they use to deal with Christmas spending...

50% of people try to save for Christmas throughout the year . . . and that includes 10% who bought stuff in last year's after-Christmas sales.

25% use coupons, credit card points, and deals to save on their shopping.

17% just take on credit card debt.

And 8% take out a LOAN or overdraft on their accounts.

So, what's your strategy attacking the holiday shopping season?
