Broome County officials say upgrades to the trail at Otsiningo Park in the Town of Dickinson are complete.

County Executive Debra Preston joined County Legislative Chairman, Jerry Marinich, Director of Parks and Recreation, Art Garrison and Senior Engineer, Leslie Boulton to announce the widening of the trail and the repair of drainage issues in some spots.

The County got $406,000 from the Federal Highway Administration, which covered about 80% of the $500,000 cost.

The very popular park is used by walkers (some with dogs), bicyclists and roller-bladers, who sometimes found the width of the trail tight for sharing the space.

The upgrade project began in September.
