Over 100 People Renovated an Elderly Couple’s Home

I think this is such an amazing story about how community came together to help an elderly couple last month.

One day, Josh Cyganik overheard two teenagers making fun of his neighbor's house. Josh didn't really know his neighbors, Leonard and Dorothy Bullock, other than to wave to them in passing. But after hearing the teenagers say that the the Bullock's house looked so bad that someone should just burn it down he knew he needed to step in and help.

So a few days later Josh asked Leonard if he and some of his friends could repair his house for him. Of course he said yes!

Josh was able to get a hardware store to donate supplies. He posted it on Facebook and over a hundred people showed up to help! They ended up painting the house, they fix the porch and made it wheelchair accessible and they even bought everything to replace the roof.

Apparently Leonard and Dorothy are very happy and have been seen on their porch smiling nonstop. What an amazing story about how neighbors in a community came to help out and elderly couple!
