Owego Boy Jailed In Bicycle Theft

Investigators say a youth suspected of stealing a bicycle in Tioga County has been sent to jail.

Authorities say the 16-year-old Owego boy - whose name was not released - has been charged with petit larceny.

According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, the teenager is believed to have taken a bicycle on July 8.

The boy was arraigned in Newark Valley town court. He was ordered held in the county jail in lieu of $200 bail.

The suspect was ordered to reappear in court on July 14.
