Not one but two people return to Rosewood in this episode of 'Pretty Little Liars,' but can they be trusted?

Psh, this is 'Pretty Little Liars' -- that's basically rhetorical at this point.

The action starts off right from the word 'go' with the girls headed to the Busy Bee Inn thanks to a text message they all received from A. They arrive to find an abandoned and trashed bed and breakfast and the malicious message scrawled on a door: "You're too late. -A"

The next day, Spencer's dad (Nolan North) accidentally runs into his daughter (Troian Bellisario), who is staying with Toby (Keegan Allen). Mr. Hastings reveals that Jason (Drew Van Acker) has been sent to rehab after causing a bar fight, hence why Mrs. DiLaurentis (Andrea Parker) didn't want to tell him about her divorce. With that out of the way, Mr. Hastings asks to talk to Toby alone about Radley.

Whereas before he wanted to take down the institute, Mr. Hastings has a change of heart and suggests to Toby that he takes a settlement on his mother's death case instead -- a decision which Spencer is incredibly suspicious of. So she goes through her father's briefcase and finds that Jessica DiLaurentis is on the board at Radley.

Aria (Lucy Hale) is spending time with Ezra (Ian Harding), who can't hang out because he has plans in Philly that night, when she receives a message from Jake (Ryan Guzman). Ezra says he's not pressuring her into choosing between them when she tells Ezra that he's the one she wants to be with.

She goes to discuss this with Jake, who immediately knows she plans to leave him for her ex. He is obviously hurt by this, especially when Aria suggests they can still be friends.

That night, Jake goes outside and sees Ezra angrily yelling at a blonde woman in a car, which is incredibly worrying. Especially when Ezra tells the shadowy figure, "You have really screwed up ... This isn't over!" Jake mentions seeing this altercation to Aria when she arrives later to return a necklace Jake had sent.

When Aria confronts Ezra about not being in Philly after all, he tells her that he was meeting with his baby mama's lawyer. He also tells her that Jake is exaggerating what he saw in order to break them up, but she assures him she is happy with her choice.

Hanna (Ashley Benson) is still reeling from her breakup with Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) but is getting closer to Travis (Luke Kleintank), who has arrived to check up on her. They play pool together and the two hug, with Hanna impetuously kissing him as she says goodbye. While he likes her, he thinks she should wait more time after her breakup, but she ends up initiating a make out session anyway.

Meanwhile, Emily (Shay Mitchell) is at a church dropping off something for a bake sale when Shana (Aeriel Miranda) arrives back in Rosewood to tell Emily she has a message from Ali (Sasha Pieterse). The girls are incredibly suspicious of Shana's sudden return, thinking that she may be in league with A.

Regardless, Emily meets up with Shana on her own, and the other girl admits she doesn't know where Ali is because that their friend always contacts her directly. Shana also tells Emily that Ali wants to meet her. Tonight. Alone.

Not listening to the advice of the other Liars (like Spencer, who she confides in) Emily goes to her meeting with Ali. Ali admits that she can't trust anyone but Emily, including her parents and the other girls. When they're talking, the girls hear a noise and Alison runs for it. It turns out to only be Spencer ruining the trust Ali had for her friend.

The girls end up in a fight over this because Spencer thinks Ali is trying to pit them against one another -- which works because Emily storms off on Spencer, who also has angered Toby for getting involved in his mother's death. He asks her to leave it alone, because he and his father agreed to take the settlement.

Back at his studio, Jake is angrily working out when kicking a punching bag ends with a cut in his foot. When he rips the bag open, it's stuffed full of knives.
