Wallowing is a normal reaction to a break-up, but when the wallowing is done, Bustle says that there are great ways in which you can be productive after your break-up.

  • Spend time volunteering with all of the free time that you have now that you don't need to make time for your old relationship. Putting to use your extra time to do some good in your community will also help you heal by helping others.
  • Incorporate exercise into your routine especially if you have pent up stress or anger after your break-up. Getting healthier could also make yourself more attractive to other people if and when you decide to put yourself back out there.
  • Hang out with your loved ones and reconnect with those who care about you and who you care about as well. Feeling loved by your family or friends can help you find your self-worth again especially if it was a particularly ugly break-up.

No one enjoys getting broken up with, but how you handle your new found free time and single lifestyle can say a lot about yourself.
