75 puppies stranded when the cargo van that was transporting them rolled on its side on Interstate 81 South 11 miles north of the Pennsylvania border at 3:38 a.m. February 21 are not up for local adoptions.

The owner of the transport is collecting the dogs from the BC Humane Society in Binghamton, where they are being cared for, to continue on to their destination.

The puppies are all okay.

Several weeks ago, the driver of a transport truck lost control of her vehicle in Steuben County and it rolled on its side.  That truck was carrying over 100 puppies destined for pet stores.

The BC Humane Society can always use donations of pet food at the Jackson Street shelter and volunteers are also needed.
