With friendships, you are closer to some people than others, which is normal. You have some acquaintances and some friends in an inner circle, but Bustle wants you to take notice of the qualities that make a good friend. Have you ever thought about it?

  • They're supportive even though you might be the closest to a particular friend, but a good friend is supportive of you when you need someone to talk things out with or vent to.
  • They accept you for who you are and don't try to change you to meet their standards or needs. Being able to be yourself around your friends makes for a better friendship right off the bat (who wants to be friends with someone that you have to be fake around anyway?).
  • They have similar interests to you which can allow you to bond with them and grow closer as friends. There is a certain sense of belonging that goes along with having friends that enjoy similar hobbies.

Being a good friend and having a good friend goes hand-in-hand. Support your friends, and learn to accept them with all their weird quirks.
