R. Kelly Comforts Sandy Hook Survivors With Song, ‘I Know You Are Hurting’

To comfort the families and those effected by the tragedy of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings in Newtown, Conn., last month, singer R. Kelly wrote and recorded a tribute song, ‘I Know You Are Hurting.’
On the effort. Kellz channels his gospel roots while children and adult choir singers share parts in singing the comforting words, ”I know you’re hurting / I hear you crying, but come tomorrow, there’s a place you can go.”
Although the crooner lets the choir have the light in singing the message, he speaks throughout the track, repeating the affirmations of reassurance to those listening.
We hope the track does some part to console those families suffering.
