More than 24,000 kids in the United States go to the emergency room every year for shopping cart injuries.  70% are kids who get hurt falling out of shopping carts at grocery stores.

I don't think either of my kids ever fell out of a shopping cart but I did drop Caleb once at the grocery store...long story but thankfully he was okay! And no I wasn't wearing heels if that's what you were thinking! lol
