Luis Rojas will return for his second season as manager of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.  The news came in a press release from the ball club on Friday.  Rojas led the Rumble Ponies to 85 wins and a post-season appearance where the Trenton Thunder eliminated Binghamton in four games in the Eastern Division Championship Series in the Eastern League.  Rojas has been with the New York Mets organization as a manager since 2011.

Frank Viola has been named the team's pitching coach.  Viola had a 15-year Major League career and played three seasons with the New York Mets.  He won 175 games in his Big League career and was named to the All-Star team three times.  Viola won 24 games with Minnesota in 1988 and won the American League Cy Young Award that season.  He also was named the World Series MVP in 1987.

Valentino Pascucci returns for his second season as Binghamton's hitting coach.  He is entering his fifth season in the New York Mets organization.He played with the Big League club in 2011.

Luis Rivera returns to Binghamton as the team's bench coach.  He was Binghamton's hitting coach previously and for the last three seasons Rivera managed Kingsport in the Rookie Appalachian League.

The Rumble Ponies open their 2018 season at NYSEG Stadium on Thursday, April 5 at 6:35 PM against the Portland Sea Dogs.
