The Binghamton Rumble Ponies play the first game of their week-long road trip tonight (Friday) in Erie against the SeaWolves at 6:05 (air at 5:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  The Ponies play three in Erie and then travel to Akron for another three-game series before returning home to host New Hampshire on Thursday, May 3rd.

Knuckle-baller Mickey Jannis makes his second Binghamton start this season.  It is also his second against the SeaWolves.  At NYSEG Stadium on April 21st Jannis went five innings against the SeaWolves and gave up three hits and a pair of runs.  Spencer Turnbull gets the start for Erie.  He is 0-2 with a 5.54 ERA.

The Rumble Ponies bring a record of 8-9 into tonight's game.  Erie is 7-11.  Binghamton catcher Patrick Mazeika and infielder Levi Michael are riding six-game hitting streaks..the longest consecutive-game hitting streaks with the Rumble Ponies this season.

In Binghamton's last outing on Wednesday night the Rumble Ponies defeated New Hampshire 5-4 when Matt Oberste drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth inning to plate Champ Stuart with the winning marker.

Tim Tebow comes into tonight's contest hitting .255 with four doubles and one home run.  Tebow has driven in eight runs while seeing action in left field and as a designated hitter.
