Upgrades to three area school districts up for a capital project vote December 5 are to move ahead.  Voters in the Binghamton City School District, Union Endicott School District and Chenango Valley School District overwhelmingly approved the appropriations for improvements to various facilities.

In the Binghamton City School District, officials report 85% of voters approved $28 million in infrastructure upgrades and 88% okayed $6.7 million for energy upgrades in the district.

In the Union Endicott School district 338 voted in favor of $12 million in renovations and upgrades with 108 voting “no.”

Chenango Valley voters voted 325 to 47 in favor of making improvements costing $15 million to the elementary schools, high school, bus garage and maintenance building.
