We have all been there. Maybe you were out celebrating your birthday and someone decided to order shots. Maybe you're at a wedding and have too many glasses of champagne. Maybe you're on vacation and have too many pina coladas while basking in the sun.

Whatever the reason is, you've had too much to drink and wake up with a hangover.

Hangovers are the worse! The headache, the queasy feelings, feeling tired. No one likes them and everyone has a hangover cure. We have heard Pedialyte, the drink you usually give to children and babies to keep them from getting dehydrated.

I've heard you should eat a raw egg...gross! We could go on and on with the silly hangover cures we have all heard. But scientist have finally found a hangover cure, and it really works!

Scientists in Australia say they have finally figured out the best hangover cure. And it's natural and good for us! It's an Asian pear. They found people who ate an Asian pear or drank the pear juice before drinking had very mild hangovers, less memory loss, and less trouble concentrating. But the key is you need to eat or drink it BEFORE you have alcohol.

The study only used Asian pears, which you may not be able to get at your grocery store here. They haven't tested it with the green pears that are more common here, but they're doing that next. Asian pears look almost like apples, but they have very similar properties to the pears we eat. So they think there's a good chance ours will work to fight hangovers too. So it's worth giving it a try!

And I'm thinking about how yummy the pear juice would taste in a drink too!
