If you suffered a break-up last year, it may be difficult to figure out when you're ready to date again. Bustle believes that there are a few signs you can look for to know when you're ready to put yourself out there and date again.

  • You're okay with who you are because getting into a new relationship when you're still working things out about yourself can only spell disaster for this new relationship before it even has a chance to start.
  • You're not rebounding and following the thought process of "the only way to get over someone is to get under someone else". It may feel better initially, but you will still be hurting, or even hurting more, when the rebound eventually falls apart.
  • You know your boundaries which might have been pushed in the last relationship, but now you're much more aware of what you can stand for and what you definitely cannot. You know not to settle this time around.

Finding the right person is wonderful, but getting into the right relationship is just as important. If you're not ready to date, that's okay! But when you are, I hope you do it for all of the right reasons.
