When you saw this headline, if you are anything like me, then I’m sure you started to sing (in an opera tone) “I like big butts and I cannot lie”!  :)   Sir Mix-A-Lot is in deed teaming up with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra for a special version of “Baby Got Back!”

The composer who wrote the new version says, quote, “Sir Mix-A-Lot” is actually going to rap on-stage with the orchestra.  He’s got this ‘rap persona’ but in reality he’s the softest, he’s only interested in mixing.”

This is the latest in a series called Sonic Evolution, which has previously included orchestral music for other Seattle artists like Kurt Cobain, Alice in Chains and Jimi Hendrix.
