Siri Saved a Young Man’s Life

Half of the time when I use Siri she doesn't work! One time the kids and I asked her where the closest ice cream shop was. She showed us one in China! I thought it was just my phone, but I had the kids try on their phones and she said the same thing. That's what makes this story even better.

18-year-old Sam Ray lives in Tennessee and last month he was in his parents garage working on his truck. While he was under the truck the jack slipped out in the truck landed on him. He was pinned under it and he couldn't use his arms. He tried yelling for help but nobody could hear him. Fortunately for him he had his iPhone and his back pocket and because of the weight of the truck on top of him, it actually activated Siri. He said that he never really used Siri before because he thought it was stupid, but he used it this time! He told Siri to call 911 and she did. Sam was able to give his address to the 911 operator and rescuers were able to get the truck off of him and take him to the hospital. He had four broken ribs are bruised kidney and burns to his arm because it was under a hot exhaust pipe. But he will make a full recovery.
I sure am glad that Siri worked for him that day! Sam says that he is now a fan of Siri.
