Firefighters are battling weather as well as flames at a two alarm fire at the Skylark Hotel in Vestal.

The blaze was reported to Vestal Police at 4 a.m. March 14.  Fire crews from multiple agencies are on the scene.

The left lane of 434 eastbound was closed to accommodate the firefighting efforts.

There has been no information available on how many people were staying at the hotel or if everyone was evacuated.  There has been initial indication that one person was taken to a hospital.

The diner in front of the hotel was said to not be involved.

Authorities will be investigating the cause of the blaze.
