Winter is not done with the Twin Tiers.  Several inches of snow have been forecast for the entire region.

The Southern Tier and Central New York are under a Winter Weather Advisory until noon with four to eight inches of snow possible and winds gusting up to 25 miles an hour causing blowing snow.  Susquehanna, Bradford and Wayne counties in Pennsylvania are under a Winter Storm Warning until noon with potential of up to 10 inches of snow and winds blowing the snow.

The National Weather Service says heavy snow can make travel dangerous.  Motorists should be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility.

In the Warning area, NOAA says motorists should only go out in an emergency and if they must travel make sure an extra flashlight, food and water is in the vehicle.
