What started out as a small event organized by State Farm Agent Mark Anderson called "Battle of the Belts" a few years ago has turned into a huge event involving hundreds of area high school students from 16 schools.

Area high school students were educated on the importance of staying safe on the road.  There were all sorts of traffic safety activities too.  The State Police were on hand with their seat belt crash simulator and the day wrapped up with a realistic mock crash.

It is very important for the students to learn, as they start to drive, that talking on your cell phone, texting or drinking while driving can have a deadly outcome.
