Standing Up a Date

Have you ever stood up a date? Have you ever been stood up? We hear about it all the time.

In fact I was reading about this guy who drove six hours to meet up with this woman he had been talking to online. Shockingly enough she stood him up! The funny thing is he called 911 to report he'd been stood up! He wanted authorities to find this woman and force her to give him and explanation why she didn't show up.

It got me wondering how often that happens. And I wonder WHY someone would stand someone up. Was it nerves? I just have to know! Let me know what your personal experiences are with this.
